We have an impending vacancy for an Assistant Development Engineer within the technical team of the North West & North Wales region, based in Altrincham, Cheshire.
The key purpose of this role will be to assist with the:
- Procuring Road and Sewer designs to LA specification.
- Submitting plans and documentation to support S38 & S104, 278, 185 Agreements.
- Holding contractual meetings with Contractors.
- Progressing the adoption of Roads and Sewers.
- Dealing with day to day technical queries from Sites, Contractors and Customers.
- Dealing with arising problems on sites.
- Dealing direct with Clients, as some developments, Lovell act as only the contractor.
- Attending internal review meetings and client meetings to monitor and discuss progress.
- Obtaining all relevant existing utility information.
- Assist the technical team with engineering and services information.
- Review Engineering and Services designs and specifications for alternatives to provide added value.
- Appraising land and tender opportunities.
Dealing with appointment and management of design consultants and the delivery of design information.
Essentially, applicants will need to be able to demonstrate a good technical understanding of civil engineering, together with a working knowledge of the associated statutory processes for technical approvals and adoptions etc.
