Opportunity:

We are currently recruiting for a talented, motivated and ambitious Buyer to join our growing team in Rugby.

As a buyer you will procure materials, goods and services to programme and to the commercial advantage of the company and report as directed and provide input into pre-construction process as directed.

Responsibilities:

  • Purchase materials to specification
  • Ensure supply to programme
  • Maintain existing supply base
  • Control and report on budgetary status on individual projects as required
  • Promote improvements to and ensure compliance with safety, health, sustainability and quality requirements and expectations
  • Ensure compliance of materials and services to specification
  • Prepare and issue reports as required
  • Input to pre-construction process as required
  • Support purchasing strategy
  • Monitor and feedback on supplier performance
  • Ensure regular communication with suppliers

 

Requirements:

  • Previous procurement experience is essential ideally in a construction environment
  • Working towards membership of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) or equivalent qualification, knowledge, skills and training
