Opportunity:
We are currently recruiting for a talented, motivated and ambitious Buyer to join our growing team in Rugby.
As a buyer you will procure materials, goods and services to programme and to the commercial advantage of the company and report as directed and provide input into pre-construction process as directed.
Responsibilities:
- Purchase materials to specification
- Ensure supply to programme
- Maintain existing supply base
- Control and report on budgetary status on individual projects as required
- Promote improvements to and ensure compliance with safety, health, sustainability and quality requirements and expectations
- Ensure compliance of materials and services to specification
- Prepare and issue reports as required
- Input to pre-construction process as required
- Support purchasing strategy
- Monitor and feedback on supplier performance
- Ensure regular communication with suppliers
Requirements:
- Previous procurement experience is essential ideally in a construction environment
- Working towards membership of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) or equivalent qualification, knowledge, skills and training
