Document Controller

Location: Hertford with regular site travel

About us:

Would you like to work for one of the most successful and secure companies within the UK Construction and Infrastructure industry with a vision to be a market leader across all of the sectors in which we operate?

Morgan Sindall provides national construction and infrastructure services to private and public sector customers across a comprehensive range of markets. We aim to create great results for our customers, partners, ourselves, and our employees.

With talented people as the key to our success we operate a culture whereby personal and professional development are at the forefront of our efforts to attract and retain the best people in the industry.

We have a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious and talented Document Controller within our Rail and Electrification business unit, to work across multiple projects.

We are looking for Document Controllers who have a particular affinity for database management. The role itself will consist of providing required training to end users, so an interest or previous experience in a training environment would be advantageous (though not essential). The Document Controller will have excellent communication skills and be pro-active in troubleshooting queries.

This role involves working closely with the Senior Information Manager to assist with the rollout of FieldView software. There is a requirement for regular travel to different sites and projects to ensure this piece of work is successful.

We’re looking for:

  • Previous Document Control experience, ideally within the Rail environment
  • A broad knowledge in use of spreadsheets, databases, word processing and job specific software
  • Experience in setting up and using electronic document management systems

We are looking for people who share our passion for the project at hand whilst working within an innovative and encouraging team.
