About the role

Providing strategic leadership for a region turning over c. £50m within the Social Housing Sector, the role requires a comprehensive technical and commercial understanding of all forms of:

  • Responsive repairs partnerships
  • Integrated asset management contracts
  • Planned maintenance frameworks and major refurbishments
  • M&E, FRA and compliance programmes

Leadership – the role requires exemplary leadership skills, being the face of MSPS internally and externally, promoting best practise and adopting the required behaviours to inspire and develop the contract management teams

Commercial – ensuring financial processes and reporting are to the highest of standards and taking ultimate responsibility for the commercial performance of all contracts. Ensuring corporate governance and risk management procedures are in place as well as manager and manage and monitor contract P&L’s and cash

Operational - the ability to lead a wide variety of contracts safely, to budget and to contractual SLA’s, inspiring a culture of continuous improvement, best practise and innovation. Ensuring contracts are adequately resourced to ensure operational and financial targets

Safety – contributing to continuous improvement and championing best practises to comply with company procedures

About You

  • Preferred previous experience in the social housing sector or adjacent market
  • Understanding of the R&M, planned works sector and technical/ compliance services
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral
  • Ability to build strong client relationships at a strategic level
  • To be self-motivated and able to develop ideas and initiatives
  • Ability to inspire, lead, facilitate and co-ordinate various functional teams
  • Ability to work in a collaborative manner as part of a broader team
