Opportunity:

We are currently recruiting for a talented, motivated and ambitious Trainee Buyer to join our growing team in Rugby.

As a Trainee Buyer you will learn to procure materials, goods and services to programme and to the commercial advantage of the company. You will also learn to report and provide input into pre-construction process as directed.

Responsibilities:

  • Purchase materials to specification
  • Ensure supply to programme
  • Maintain existing supply base
  • Control and report on budgetary status on individual projects as required
  • Promote improvements to and ensure compliance with safety, health, sustainability and quality requirements and expectations
  • Ensure compliance of materials and services to specification
  • Prepare and issue reports as required
  • Input to pre-construction process as required
  • Support purchasing strategy
  • Monitor and feedback on supplier performance
  • Ensure regular communication with suppliers

 

Requirements:

  • Educated to A’level or equivalent
  • Understanding and interest in Procurement
  • IT literate
  • Good communication skills
  • Able to work within a Team

Predominately based in our Rugby Head Office, the central support team is made up of many support functions key to the success of the wider business. We partner with the sector and regional Business Units to provide exceptional customer service to our internal and external customers.
