A Chief Estimator is required for Lovell Partnerships Ltd East Anglia Region to manage the Estimating function across the whole of the region.
The region currently has a busy estimating team in Norwich and the successful applicant will be responsible for their management. The successful applicant will report directly to the Regional Commercial Director and be expected also to work closely with other members of the Senior Management Team.
The applicant will be responsible for:
- Ensuring that commercial opportunity is optimised and converted as appropriate
- Playing a key role in the development of Project/Business strategy
- Supporting the Development Manager in the identification of risks and the application of the Commercial Standing Instructions
- Ensuring that commercial opportunities are optimised and the company’s position is always suitably protected.
- Supporting the Regional Commercial Director in the development/implementation of policy/procedure
- Manage, support and train the Estimators and Assistant Estimators in the application of their role.
The position will be based in Norwich but will require travel across the Region.
Ideally the candidate will have previous experience in a similar role within the residential sector, and it would also be advantageous if the candidate had experience in the following;
- New Housing procured on a D&B basis
- The appraisal of land for Housing Development
- Refurbishment of dwellings for local authorities and the like
- Excellent people management skills/experience
