OVERBURY is looking for a Technical Services Manager

The role

Develop Building Services Brief for all projects.

To review Sub-Contractor proposals to ensure they are economic, cost effective and comply with the Client’s brief/requirements and Building Regulations.

To be commercially aware of the cost of all mechanical and electrical items to ensure competitive costs are achieved for all proposed mechanical and electrical schemes.

To review the proposed service’s construction programmes and provide feedback, including review of proposed lead-in times and procurement issues.

Provide advice regarding the validation of existing building services. Produce a check list for the Project Managers to use.  Comment on the validation results.

To review the selected sub-contractors proposed installation drawings prior to handing over to the Project Manager.

To provide technical support to Project Managers, when issues arise on site.  Where possible this to be via telephone communication but will include site visits if necessary.  Please Note: It is the responsibility of the Project Manager to co-ordinate and manage the M&E installation on site.

Attend site at the midpoint of the project to review the quality of the M&E installation.

Produce a commissioning strategy for the Project Managers to use.  Review testing and commissioning data.  Be available for Client Training if required.

Review and check Health & Safety (Operating & Maintenance) Manuals, Record Drawings and Commissioning Certificates.
