Opportunity:

We have a fantastic opportunity within our Construction business for an ambitious and talented Quality/ Perfect Delivery Manager

The successful candidate will be joining the existing team of passionate and dedicated commercial staff.

We are looking for quality/ perfect delivery manager who has a wealth of knowledge in the main contracting market. Knowledge of the construction and infrastructure industry is an advantage.

Experience of working on Educational, Healthcare, Leisure or Defence schemes between £5 and £20 million is an advantage.

Responsibilities:

As a Quality/ Perfect Delivery Manager you will:

  • Lead quality improvement programmes, appropriate to the business sector.
  • Development of the quality capability to meet the future needs of the business.
  • Promote a learning culture which strives for continual improvements by learning from experience and seeking out best practice and providing innovation.
  • Develop an appropriate suite of “Quality KPI’s” and monitor performance against these KPI’s.
  • Reduce the “Cost of Poor Quality” through improved delivery practices and focussed education of the workforce.
  • Working collaboratively as part of the Construction Perfect Delivery Team to support the Construction North West projects.
  • Lead role in assisting all groups, teams and individuals across Construction North West to understand the Perfect Delivery strategy and how it applies to them in their role.
  • Proactively identify, in all areas, difficulties or blockers, suggest and support improvements and encourage the Construction North West business to implement to the Perfect Delivery Strategy.
  • Ensure that each project has a detailed and specific Perfect Delivery Strategy with the cornerstones creating the framework and ensuring quality plans, check and hold points and all appropriate procedures are in place.
  • Support conducting CEQs in respect of analysing feedback, identifying common trends and converting these into improvements programmes and action plans. Ensure action plans are followed through.
  • Maintain Perfect Delivery health checks and performance tables so that progress and success can be monitored, assessed.
  • Input into, and stimulate creation of Perfect Delivery articles for staff communication systems, constantly capturing ideas for other promotional material such as for example, production of case studies etc.
  • Work closely with the procurement teams, facilitating and assisting the process of subcontract performance and feedback to support the development and refinement of a reliable supply chain to meet quality standards and performance objectives.
  • Review “as-built” programmes on various projects to establish trends, identify “pinch points” or problem areas in order to improve them for the future ensuring that there are adequate allowances for checking quality and snagging throughout the whole project period – not just the last few weeks.
  • Arrange and facilitate meetings with clients prior to commencement on site to establish project/client charters which capture key customer objectives and communicate cornerstones.
  • Organise and facilitate Perfect Delivery conferences, forums, seminars etc with customers, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Create opportunities to promote Perfect Delivery and the Construction industry in general, at universities, colleges and schools.

The North West Team are currently involved in a number of high profile projects within the Greater Manchester and Merseyside regions.  Recent successes include the Priority Schools Building Programme, Liverpool Schools Investment Programme and the new BUPA Headquarters at Media City, Salford Quays.  We have also been awarded a number of projects under the North West Construction Hub Framework including the new Operational Command Centre for Merseyside Police, Manchester Metropolitan University’s Arts & Media Building, Alder Hey NHS Trust’s Institute in the Park and most recently a fantastic opportunity to deliver some schemes in the heart of Liverpool at Paddington Village.
