About the Role

To coordinate the delivery of social value contractual commitments & to support to the business’s corporate social responsibility objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Engage and encourage staff to support and volunteer with social value projects
  • Maintain network of external stakeholders and community partners including training providers, residents and public sector contacts.
  • Support internal learning interventions and organisation development.
  • Support data collating process and recording information for monthly/weekly client and internal reporting
  • Support delivery on social value commitments as outlined in the contract to meet required deadlines
  • Use social media to promote social value activity
  • Complete case studies, and production of newsletters to communicate activities with the business and externally
  • Delivery of community projects on time, as a positive business representative
  • Carry out all Social value/CSR administrative duties relating to the project lifecycles on target
  • Ensure appropriate evidence is captured to support social value reporting and maintain accurate and up to date records
  • Coordinate the recruitment process for apprentices and pre apprentice trainees
  • Support where necessary with apprentice training programme, supporting supervisors with collating feedback and completing performance reviews
  • Lead point of contact for schools, colleges and other provisions for coordinating work experience placements
  • Deliver commitments, such as job clubs, digital skills, energy awareness sessions with residents liaising with relevant external contacts to capture evidence data
  • Attend and facilitate attendance for project delivery in schools and colleges including events such as careers evenings, mock interviews, site visits, and mentoring
  • Coordinate resident training days, to attract and invite attendees.
  • Responsible for recruitment process for Sector Based Work Academies and traineeships
  • Attend internal/external meetings to provide progress updates as required
  • Regularly meet with Head of CSR provide updates on progress against social value commitments
  • Be able to use data and local insight and knowledge to develop targeted programmes to support issues relating to communities- such as poverty, ASB, capacity building, low educational attainment etc.
  • Must be able to bring communities together by using innovative and relevant ideas- that are sector driven
  • understanding of securing external funding streams
  • Knowledge of apprenticeships

About You

 

  • · Able to work on own initiative and maintain comprehensive reporting data
  • Flexible in approach and able to work across multiple contracts if required, to support the business
  • Must be target focussed
  • Must be innovative in delivery and able to personalise approach to target specific issues in the communities where we work
  • Must be able to attend meetings/career events etc. in the evening/weekends on occasion
  • Must be prepared to undertake additional learning as and when required to support the programme of community led initiatives
  • Previous experience in CSR/community regeneration activity essential
  • Able to design initiatives/programmes to support communities to show tangible benefits - essential
  • Good stakeholder management skills
  • Thorough knowledge of working with partners to achieve shared outcomes
  • Direct experience of employability support to customers
  • Experience of providing careers advice- preferably in a construction environment.
  • Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft applications
  • Good knowledge of safeguarding
  • Able to produce concise reports
