We have a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious and talented Design Manager to work within our MSES Business Unit.
We are looking for a Design Manager to manage the design aspects of tenders and projects in progress and have the ability to lead and provide a professional, comprehensive and sustainable design management service to the projects.

As a Design Manager you will:

Deliver design management tasks in accordance with company and/or project procedures.

Input into defining company and/or project procedures working alongside others.

A project based role working under the guidance of a more senior Design Manager or Engineering Manager.

Contribute to activities as a link between the design and construction teams to improve constructability of designs.

Contribute to the design management function and business development by sharing knowledge and best practice.
The right applicant will have Minimum BEng(Hons) or equivalent but preferably MEng in relevant subject.
Actively working towards IEng or CEng with relevant approved industry body.
CSCS card holder plus other project dependent certificates (e.g. sentinel.)
Expected to have built upon engineering design experience with a good grounding of experience, understanding and knowledge of design management.
A good understanding of NEC forms of contract especially in relation to design and design management. Knowledge of other forms is an advantage.

Morgan Sindall Engineering Solutions (MSES) is an engineering consultancy within Morgan Sindall Infrastructure, we specialise in providing; multi-sector temporary works design, underground permanent works design (tunnels & shafts), expertise across digital, material and geotechnical engineering and design management services. We have six offices across the UK; Rugby, Stafford, Salford, London, Solihull and Motherwell. We currently work across a number of sectors including; Highways, Nuclear, Energy, Water, Aviation, Rail & Electrification and Construction.
