About the Project:

Morgan Sindall Infrastructure has been awarded the civils and construction management contract on the 20 year Programme and Project Partnership framework with Sellafield Ltd.

At the core of the partnership is collaborative working, with the framework being delivered in conjunction with four other organisations.

The overriding aim of the Programme and Project Partnership is to bring together individuals with the right values and behaviours to deliver world class projects on the Sellafield site.

The Role:

As a design manager – M&E you will support the growth of our business, influence of engineering team and effectively managing the design aspects to enhance project performance.

Responsibilities:

As a Design Manager – Level 1 – M&E you will:

  • Lead and manage one or more technical design packages agreeing project related objectives.
  • Managing technical teams from works contractors producing the designs and making appropriate technical management responses.
  • Ensure that the design documentation covers the scope of operations required by the Project and is produced to agreed standards, schedule and budget.

Already as a Design Manager – Level 1 – M&E you will:

  • HND/HNC/degree
  • Member of an industry recognised professional institute for example CIOB
  • Involvement with design strategy and approach
  • Experience on both single stage tenders and preferred terms work procurement routes
  • Experience on bidding and winning work
  • Ability to work in a team environment contributing across a business unit or area
  • Good management skills with the ability to motivate employees to achieve high standards of compliance
  • Excellent organisational, planning and time management skills; able to manage projects simultaneously with compromising on standards and quality
  • Sound knowledge of the construction industry.
