About the team

MSPS has a dynamic and successful business development team. Tendering for work across the whole of the UK, the bid team is a fast-paced and dynamic department that operates across a number of different aspects of the residential and commercial property management sectors.

About the Role

Co-ordinating between various parts of the team this is a busy role where accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to work to deadlines is key. Day to day tasks include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting in tracking opportunities through the OJEU and lead generation process.
  • Managing the central bid team email inbox and client portals; ensuring that documents are logged accurately and distributed to the relevant individuals.
  • Providing general administrative support for all the bid team including the uploading of tender submissions to relevant client portals by the required deadlin
  • Coordinating the team, including liaising with key stakeholders to arrange meetings, sending out calendar invites, taking telephone messages, and raising purchase orders.
  • Maintaining an up-to-date Bid Library and Sub-contractor Database.
  • Preparing and distributing tender packages to sub-contractors. Tracking and liaising with sub-contractors to ensure that responses are received on time.
  • Supporting the Estimating team to produce costings and undertake data analysis to create competitive and robust pricing proposals.
  • Completing high quality Standard Selection Questionnaires (SSQs).
  • Seeking and managing inputs from stakeholders within the business to ensure delivery of compelling proposals.
  • Collating and reviewing tender responses to ensure high levels of quality and commercial accuracy prior to submission.      

Participating in conferences, exhibitions, seminars and presentations as required. Assisting at events where the business is exhibiting.

About You

Essential:

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines
  • Able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Clear and confident telephone manner and ability to liaise with customers and sub-contractors
  • Competence with Adobe and Microsoft software packages. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.

Desired:

  • Knowledge of the repairs and maintenance or construction industry
  • Previous experience of working in a busy tendering department
  • Understanding of public sector procurement regulations.
