Opportunity: 

We have a fantastic opportunity within our Aviation business for an ambitious and talented BIM Manager within the Q6 Framework at Heathrow Airport. 

We are looking for a BIM Manager to deliver the group BIM strategy at both Business unit and project level; and manage the implementation of the Morgan Sindall BIM processes, procedures and best practice across the business functions. They will support both bids and live projects with understanding and responding to the BIM requirements and where appropriate, setting out a strategy which aligns with the client’s needs and the supply chains capabilities; Encourage the development of skills, awareness and understanding of all relevant staff through training and ongoing support so that BIM duties are and can be ultimately undertaken by the project or bid team.

Requirements:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent in relevant field for example BIM, Design Management, and Architectural Technology.
  • Expert working knowledge of BS 1192, PAS 1192-2 and other BIM standards and best practice.
  • Highly knowledgeable of BIM in design, planning, commercial and information management.
  • Experience influencing Project Managers and ensuring that key requirements are met.
  • Experience managing a l team and able to lead the business unit strategy - setting the plan
  • Happy to work on site 70% of the time.

About the Heathrow Team:

Morgan Sindall is 1 of 4 Delivery Integrators working at Heathrow Airport within the Q6 Framework.  Our works are focused around the Airside / Landside Lot and cover a large portfolio of projectors working at Heathrow Airport within the Q6 Framework.  Our works are focused around the Airside / Landside Lot and cover a large portfolio of projects that include civil engineering, mechanical and electrical and building works throughout the footprint of Heathrow Airport.  We have a long history of successfully delivering works at Heathrow Airport and our reputation has been founded upon this.  We have over 200 employees, including a direct labour force delivering these projects and a well-developed and trusted supply chain.  We have a plan for long term growth year on year and this is underpinned by our recruitment programme, including experienced managers, a graduate recruitment process and also strengthening of our self-performing capabilities through investment in apprentices.  Looking forwards there is even greater opportunities at Heathrow Airport within the next expansion plans and further afield the 3rd runway development.
