Morgan Sindall Construction are a diverse design and construct business delivering a full range of projects from £50,000 to in excess of £100,000,000 from offices across the United Kingdom.

We delight customers through performance across a wide variety of sectors and we have a strong reputation with our customers of being easy to deal with and very customer focused.

Our key sectors include Education, Defence, Retail, Commercial, Industrial and Leisure. In addition, we also work very closely with other parts of the business in Rail, Energy and Pharmachem sectors.

As an Industrial placement within our business, you will assist the site team with the day to day running and managing of the site. Familiarise yourself with responsibilities and procedures which are to be followed, develop understanding of what makes a project successful and liaise with other construction professionals. Some key responsibilities will include;

  • Collating and maintaining documentation and schedules
  • Keeping good standard of daily site records
  • Learning about specific construction tasks and activities
  • Effectively communicating between project and site teams
  • Monitoring of quality and safety performance on site

Our Placement Programme

We offer 12-month industrial placements to students looking for a year in industry as part of their degree.  The programme has been designed to give you the best possible exposure to our business, during the year you will be involved in all of the following areas, depending on your discipline: 

  • Engineering
  • Contract planning
  • Preconstruction
  • Quantity Surveying/Commercial
  • Safety, Health & Environment
  • Site Management
  • Tender Planning

What you’ll gain 

You’ll gain valuable experience by working on real projects and alongside graduates and experienced professionals.  We also encourage and support our undergraduates to start gathering evidence relating to the professional institution structured development programme, relevant to your discipline. 

Upon completion of the programme, you could leave with a graduate job offer and sponsorship for your final year at university

Eligibility

You should be studying towards or hold a relevant accredited degree.
