About Role

Purpose:

A strategic priority for the organisation is to transform our financial planning and analysis capability.  This new role of Head of Financial Planning and Analysis is critical to the success of the business as we grow.  Understanding the growth and the impact of it on profitability and cash is key and hence this is a pivotal role in the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Run cash forecast and profit forecast process, including budget
  • Phased cashflow/Profit forecasting for planned works
  • Analyse financial trends to determine performance and make recommendations
  • Model financials of future business scenarios
  • Provide MI required to execute sound business strategy
  • Development of consistent MSPS internal reporting format & systemisation related to forecasts
  • Ad hoc projects
  • Forecast risks and opportunities for both cash and profit.

 About You:

  • Ability to work in pressurised situations and deliver in a fast-paced organisation
  • Creating great working relationships throughout the organisation and at all levels
  • Confidence and ability to challenge direction in a constructive way
  • Ability to inspire and motivate people – Engaging, enthusiastic and high energy
  • Excellent attention to detail and accurate forecasting skills
  • Excellent track record of delivery against budgets and forecasts
  • Self-sufficient and self-motivated

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree level educated and qualified CIMA or ACA is a must. Minimum 5 years post qualification experience.
  • Demonstrable experience of managing a range of stakeholders; skilled in relationship building, negotiating, influencing, and upward management
  • Experience of reviewing existing systems and processes to identify issues and develop recommendations for improvement
  • Expert written and verbal communication, with ability to present ideas persuasively to various audiences (technical and non-technical)
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Highly self-motivated, with the ability to work autonomously effectively, in writing, with wide range of people and groups.
  • Competence with the Microsoft software packages, project management software and knowledge of cost management systems.
