Main Responsibilities

Produce comprehensive civil engineering design packages for all aspects of civil engineering projects.

Lead the delivery of civil design packages across multiple projects, as part of a single or multi discipline design team, carry out any or all stages of civil engineering from concept to completion across sectors including rail, science and technology, waste to energy, aviation and healthcare.

Skills and Experience

  • Chartered Engineer, degree qualified in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Carry out technical design reviews/critiques of civil engineering design projects in process
  • Assist in the mentoring and development of more junior engineers including training and planning
  • Fully conversant with current codes, standards and responsibilities under CDM and health and safety regulations.
  • Proven ability to work within a fully integrated, multi-discipline design team.
  • Experience in leading the design of the following packages on projects: external works, below ground drainage, earthworks, adoptable roads and S278 & S38 applications
  • Experienced in managing small project teams on civil engineering projects
  • Ability to write technical reports such as Drainage Strategy documents to a high standard
  • Highly proficient in the use of Microdrainage and Civils 3D software
