ASSISTANT SITE MANAGER

Lovell in the Southern region are currently seeking to appoint a proactive and highly motivated Assistant Site Manager for a mixed use and contracting new build development in the Exeter region.

The successful applicant will report to a Site Manager/Senior Site Manager or Project Manager/Build Manager and have already gained experience in all areas of site production and programme, as well as material delivery and cost control. Quality and health & safety standards are paramount, and responsibilities include adherence to business management systems, NHBC standards and the Considerate Constructors Scheme.

The role requires development of positive relationships with both internal and external customers and Clients, with strong focus on service delivery and client satisfaction against project KPIs.

Experience in contracting and mixed-use residential development for sites ranging from 50 to 200 units is desirable and experience in traditional and timber frame construction.

The ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate that they can work as part of a team meeting production requirements whilst ensuring the highest standards of health and safety and customer service.

In addition, they will have a genuine commitment to our construction sector and a desire to gain further experience in managing budgets and ability to work to clear deadlines. It is envisaged that a sound knowledge of building regulations, NHBC standards and Health & Safety legislation will further be enhanced. Experience of building Sustainable Homes and of mixed tenure scheme is essential.  Understanding of NHBC / LABC requirements and HBF 5-star rating.

We are looking for an assertive and confident individual who is proactive, flexible and able to take ownership for their work, combine with the ability to develop strong management, communication skills and IT proficiency.  Being able to deputise for the Site Manager/Senior Site Manager from time to time is a prerequisite.

It is essential that the successful candidate holds a current CSCS or SMSTS certification.
