About the Project:

Morgan Sindall Infrastructure has been awarded the civils and construction management contract on the 20-year Programme and Project Partnership framework with Sellafield Ltd.

At the core of the partnership is collaborative working, with the framework being delivered in conjunction with four other organisations.

The overriding aim of the Programme and Project Partnership is to bring together individuals with the right values and behaviours to deliver world class projects on the Sellafield site. 

We are currently recruiting for talented, motivated and ambitious senior planner to join our team based in Cumbria.

Responsibilities:

As our senior planner you will:

  • Produce, manage, coordinate and update the construction programme,
  • Lead the coordination of supplier programmes to ensure that all works on site start safely and complete on time,
  • Work with the 4D planner to identify critical elements of work that benefit from visualisation and coordination,
  • Provide planning management and support to both the pre-contract and contract operations for the business,
  • Manage and incorporate change events into the construction programme and jointly with the commercial team, secure full entitlement under the contract,

Requirements: 

  • Competence using P6 planning software including resource and cost loading
  • Competence Earned Value Analysis Reporting
  • Knowledge and experience of NEC contracts
  • Undertaking impact assessments for NEC compensation events
  • Experience developing construction sequences using output rates, construction techniques and risk allocation
  • Experience working in a construction team gaining input into the construction programme
  • Experience working in a construction team steering look ahead programmes and lean/collaborative planning sessions
  • Tracking progress daily and updating progress with interaction with shift reports
  • 4D experience is desirable but not essential
