About the Role

              As BIM Manager you will be client facing, providing support and expertise to the client’s (Employer/Appointed Party) project delivery teams. Within this role you will need to provide governance and overview for projects, on the quality of BIM information produced, and suitability for further stages of the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities & Accountabilities

·     The role will be accountable for leading the development of reporting requirements for the workstream

·     Mentor & guide the contractor and supply chain on BIM Implementation in accordance with Client Requirements / Standards

·     Mentor the Client’s Project teams on the subject of BIM and how it interfaces with Project / Engineering management

·     Support project teams with model reviews, accessing data and quality assurance

·     Advise the client on any potential risks or non-conformances, potential impacts to facility operations and proposed mitigating actions for them to escalate if required

·     Advise on best practise / innovation being adopted across the project(s) to feed into continuous improvement

·     Have input to the project BEP review & approval process, liaising with the relevant appointing party stakeholders

·     Accountable for the review and approval of Project BEPs, and ensures progress against deliverables can be measured and reported clearly

·     Development of governance to support the audit process for projects creating BIM Information

·     Champion continuous improvement in the BIM workstream for the business

Ensure the Appointing Party’s methodologies, procedures and standards are adhered to

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Knowledge of Modelling principles
  • Knowledge of Revit & Naviswork
  • Skilled in the mapping and development of work processes
  • Skilled in dataset interrogation

Desirable

  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels
  • Good interpretive skills and ability to present data
  • Highly motivated and committed to doing an excellent job
  • Able to work with a variety of tasks
