 The Role:

We are currently recruiting for a talented, highly motivated and ambitious Head of Supply Chain to Morgan Sindall Infrastructure - Nuclear business based in the North West.

As Head Of Supply Chain Capability you will lead in maximising value to Morgan Sindall through the structured management and development of the supply chain. You will drive forward the implementation of the Morgan Sindall Supply Chain Strategy, and will be instrumental in the ongoing evolution of the Nuclear Supply Chain Plan. You will also be outward looking and visible to our customers providing the assurance that we understand our supply chain and enable the maximum value and performance opportunities through our arrangements and relationships that enable Perfect Delivery.

You will be responsible for ensuring the Nuclear business has strong supply chain relationship management in place, with good knowledge of the sector and the bespoke specialist requirements of working in a highly complex and regulated sector which holds nuclear safety at the heart of its responsibilities.

You will lead a team that provides high quality support and advice on supply chain engagement, developing acquisition strategies, procurement plans, tendering, selection and award, provide support developing appropriate Contract Strategies to meet MS Group Responsible Procurement and Sustainability requirements and will provide supply chain relationship management, including performance monitoring, reporting supply chain activities, promoting social impact activity across the supply chain and support work winning.

You also will be involved in monitoring processes and procedures across the business identifying areas for improvement, including managing procurement procedures in line with delegated authorities. You will be based in NW but will also be flexible in terms of travel to attend Contracts and other locations throughout UK as required within any period.    

You will have a membership of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) or equivalent qualification and you will have an understanding of subcontract and supplier terms and conditions. You will have experience in procurement, supply chain or a commercial role and you will have relevant experience and knowledge of both subcontract and materials procurement practices and processes.
