Opportunity: 

We have a fantastic opportunity within our Highways business unit for an ambitious and talented Senior Commercial Manager.     

We require a Senior Commercial Manager to lead the bmJV M40/42 Interchange Smart Motorway Project Commercial Team, based in the Birmingham / West Midlands area.

The M40/M42 Interchange SM Scheme is a £100M+ Project that we are delivering as part of our portfolio of work working within the HE SMP Alliance where we are (as BMJV) a delivery partner.

Previous Highways England is a requirement for this role. 

The person:

·        Degree educated in quantity surveying or other similar commercially related discipline

·        RICS accreditation preferred

·        Able to manage the monthly reporting process including cost value reporting (CVR)

·        Experience using COINS

·        Experience in commercial management of sub-contractors including procurement, valuations and final accounts

·        Able to set up and manage direct labour, plant and materials on projects

·        Knowledge and experience of dispute resolution

  • Implementing hard shoulder running (HSR) and introducing smart motorway technology to give reduced vehicle emissions, increased journey time reliability and cost savings of around 40 per cent compared with conventional schemes.
