About the team

The Bid team includes focusses on completing tenders, establishing excellent client and industry relationships, and building a network of internal relationships.

About the Role

Purpose:

Secure new work and develop future work streams through the Business Development and Proposals Process. Provide engaging copy for inclusion in Proposals, and maintain robust systems and processes to assist in the work winning process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day production and compilation of planned works, responsive repairs and void refurbishment tenders
  • Deliver completed written proposal responses to the Bid Manager/Head of Bids against agreed deadlines, escalating issues as required.
  • Proof reading work to ensure high quality completion
  • Produce support materials for client engagement, competitive dialogue, site visits, interviews and mobilisation handover.
  • Participate in conferences, exhibitions, and presentations as required.
  • Identifying and editing input from subject matter experts within the business.
  • Assist in tracking opportunities and through the OJEU and lead generation process as instructed by Head of Bids.
  • Participate in conferences, exhibitions, seminars and presentations as required. Assisting at events where the business is exhibiting.
  • Attendance at client meetings, tender briefings and competitive dialogue meetings.
  • Ensuring consistency of style, content and message throughout all written material.
  • Monitor and manage the central bid team email account and distribute information to the relevant individuals.
  • Source tender documentation from online sources and store in line with agreed Team processes.
  • Identify, develop and incorporate new ideas and best practice into the Business Development process to drive Proposal innovation and improve success rates.
  • Maintaining up to date documents in the Bid Information Library.
  • Participate in bid launch and settlement meetings to agree strategy, review progress and obtain sign off from the ELT.

You will need:

  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
  • 3 years’ experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of OJEU compliant procurement procedures
  • Knowledge and understanding of responsive, cyclical and planned maintenance services, and industry best practice
  • Competence with the Microsoft software packages
