Due to a number of new build open market sites becoming available in the next twelve months, Lovell in London and the South East are now recruiting for a Senior Estimator.
With considerable experience in the new build residential market within the London area, you will be expected to provide robust tender estimates and assistance with land bids for adjudications, and have an excellent working knowledge of construction methods and techniques. You will also have experience and ability to quantify drawings to assist in the maintenance of an accurate cost base; produce robust subcontract tender enquiries and comply with the prevailing company policies and procedures.
In addition, you will have experience of:
- managing large residential bids independently
- modern methods of measurement
- knowledge of cost planning and land bids
- man-management
- estimating software systems, i.e. Conquest, Evaluate, Causeway
- Excel based cost planning tools
You should have solid demonstrable experience in the new build residential sector with both new build contracting and development work and can manage multiple bids encompassing contracting and development opportunities.
We will also expect you to demonstrate your ability to manage bids in excess of £50m, including the measurement, billing and pricing of the bid in order to achieve the most cost-effective price for Lovell.
Sound knowledge of current Building Regulations and experience in value engineering and modern methods of construction.
Ideally educated to degree level in a construction related subject or qualified to MCIOB level, you will also hold a CSCS Manager card.
