About the Team

The Operational job family consists of roles that provide front line delivery to our Customers, such as trade’s roles, roles that measure contract performance and the management of these activities.

About the Role

Working to deliver highest quality service to carry out a variety of building services tasks.  Working efficiently and safety in line with best practise to achieve excellent customer experience.  This role may operate across multiple contracts

  • Carry out repairs to a variety of building services and demonstrate their competence to multi-skill outside their core trade to include minor plumbing works, building work, possible grounds works and drainage related tasks.
  • Be involved with refurbishment, planned and reactive maintenance.
  • Work with minimal supervision and have the ability to make decisions on the most appropriate repair or solution.
  • Complete and finalise projects to a high standard and have the ability to self-snag works on completion.
  • Play a key role in planning and completing a range of works associated Maintenance and planned preventive maintenance.
  • Provide exceptional maintenance services to our high profile Client and go the extra mile to deliver to the highest quality standards in all areas.
  • Produce clear and concise reporting for the Client through systems and verbal reporting.
  • Utilise work through PDAs / mobiles to complete works key communications and updates.
  • Apply the knowledge of plumbing systems.
  • Read and understand technical drawings and plans.
  • Work in tight spaces and high levels.
  • Effectively communicate with clients.
  • Completing reactive, PPM jobs and projects in a timely manner.
  • Following health and safety guidelines.
  • Understand technical instructions
  • The maintenance, management and installation of sanitary appliances including the soil and waste connections.
  • Repair of leaks, repair and replacement of toilet seats, replacement of showerheads or hoses, unblocking of waste traps, toilets, gutters, rainwater pipes and any other plumbing work where needed
  • Changing lamps plus cleaning light fittings
  • Repair patching of plaster and replacing small areas of tiles.
  • General painting and making good paintwork after a repair.
  • Ensure all PPE is provided and present prior to engaging on task.
  • Ensure that the task is deliverable within the time allocation
  • Ensure all works do not present a hazard or danger to others
  • Ensure all H&S documentation (RAMS) are present prior to engaging on task
  • Produce concise and accurate data records through PDA / mobile communication systems and reporting, including feedback on vulnerabilities within the community, the use of labour and materials and if tasks are deliverable in the time allocation.
  • Ensure asbestos survey is present prior to undertaking works
  • If operating plant or machinery ensure all certifications for plant is present and up to date prior to use

About You

  • Must have full UK driver license for at least 12 months
  • Ability to work in all weather
  • Workers must be punctual and reliable
  • Previous experience as a qualified Tradesperson is preferred
  • Ability to use hand tools
  • Ability to operate small hand held plant such as drills and breakers etc.
  • Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Trade related qualification, city and guilds, NVQ level 2 or equivalent
  • CSCS Blue Skilled Worker Card
