About the Role

The Supply Chain Manager will develop and maintain strategic initiatives pertaining to BakerHicks supply chain in line with the Company’s supply chain vision.

The candidate will provide support to all departments for supply chain activities during both the work-winning and project phases.

The ideal candidate will have had previous experience in a procurement/supply chain role as a member of a project delivery teams with the Construction Industry

The candidate will be familiar with standard Forms of Contract used in the UK and may be required to provide advice and guidance to others in the way in which the Contracts are to be administered

Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • Administer the companies prequalification system including the management of assessments in collaboration with the respective departments
  • Review and approval of orders in accordance with the businesses procurement process in line with current delegated authorities.
  • Support work winning and projects teams with the gathering of supply chain costs and strategies
  • Support the Head of Supply Chain with the implementation of the procurement strategies both for the business and at project level
  • Maintain the businesses database in relation to the Supply Chain including cost advice and historical project information
  • Liaise with Company and Client suppliers and contractors providing equipment packages or specialist services, to ensure contracted compliance of their work including deliveries.
  • Drafting of consultancy appointments to support the project teams
  • Develop and manage strategic agreements with the supply chain to support the businesses framework agreements
  • Comply with Company Quality Assurance and Management system
  • Attendance of training as required to support job role and to develop individual skills
  • Effectively report progress to Project Managers for related work and take ownership for the timely delivery of purchase orders and services contracts both ‘for and on behalf of’ and direct BakerHicks orders and contracts.
  • To administer the process of procuring equipment, contracts and services for the Companies projects
  • To manage and develop the companies current supply chain utilising the businesses prequalification system
  • To support the Head of Supply Chain in the development of strategic agreements to support the business needs.
  • To support the Head of Supply Chain in the monitoring and approval of all orders in line with the procedures and delegated authorities

Skills & Experience

  • Member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement (MCIPS)
  • Experience within the construction industry
