The role details

The Facilities Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day facilities of a 6-story building based in London’s West End, it houses 300 members of staff the work directly for Overbury and Morgan Lovell. The individual will be responsible for proactive and continual maintenance of the building by liaising with external maintenance contractors and suppliers to ensure the building is operating effectively and in compliance with all relevant Health and Safety standards. 

The individual will be responsible for setting and maintaining a budget for the ensuring that the building is operating in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, operating effectively and efficiently for now and the future and ensuring that our staff and guests receive a first class experience.  

Managing a team of four made up of front of house, security and, when required, external providers, to create an exceptional working environment and experience for all our staff and the buildings guests.

Be a contact point for escalating and facilitating Business Continuity.

Some key objectives of the role

Relationships – Embed within the business to establish strong relationships and exceptional experiences for our staff whilst also working with external maintenance contractors and suppliers. Carry out regular building walks to generate the achievement of high visual standards across all areas in accordance with the building standards.

Support – Be point of contact for the front of house team – facilitating the appropriate response to issues and requirements.

Process – Ensuring the business follows Health, Safety and Wellbeing for our staff and guests whilst in the building along with the security compliance and protection of the business.

Budget - Managing an annual facilities budget and relationships with external maintenance subcontractors and suppliers. Challenging the key elements through procurement.
