Lovell Partnerships is operational in London and the South East. The business is focused upon the construction of new build private sale and affordable housing and is currently in the midst of substantial growth.

We are now seeking an ambitious and self-motivated Senior Quantity Surveyor, from a main contractor and developer background, to join our growing business.  Reporting to a Commercial Manager, the role will provide key commercial support on a new build residential housing development in East London.  The position is site based.

Ideally you will hold a BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying and MRICS and/or MCIOB preferred. 

You will be responsible for the supply chain procurement, day to day financial and cost control, cash management, and reporting on a development up to and including completion of client and sub-contractor final accounts, recovery and discharge of all retentions and completion of archive material.  Applicants should ideally be currently employed in the new build housing sector, with experience of all forms of construction including concrete frame.  New build residential, main contractor and developer experience preferred.

You will be dealing with all aspects of pre-construction and post contract commercial processes and have experience of working on traditional new build projects.

The successful candidate will need to be able to evidence their ability to work independently with minimal supervision yet have the skills to fit in as part of an integrated site team.  You will also be required to demonstrate your man management and leadership skills.  You will also need to be comfortable dealing directly with clients, as well as being competent at managing all commercial aspects of a construction project.  You must have a working knowledge of the JCT form of contract. 

It is essential that you possess an advanced working knowledge of Excel, Outlook and ideally COINS. In addition having the confidence to chair multi-disciplinary meetings is essential.

Candidates should ideally be in possession of a valid CSCS card.
