Opportunity:
We have a fantastic opportunity within our Construction business for an ambitious and talented Design Manager.
The successful candidate will be joining the existing team of passionate and dedicated managers.
We are looking for managers who have a wealth of knowledge in the main contracting market.
Experience of working on Commercial, Educational, Higher Educational / Universities, Leisure and Multi-storey Residential schemes between £1.5 and £15 million is an advantage.

Responsibilities:
As a design manager, you will
- Manage the design aspects of tenders and projects in progress.
- Manage design development in line with commercial and construction requirements.
- Manage and co-ordinate safely the overall design process challenging the brief and bringing innovation and continuous improvement benefits.
- Co-ordinate the activities of the design team, contractors and statutory bodies in line with critical dates.
Already experienced as a design manager you will be educated to degree or HNC/HND level in a relevant technical discipline and you will be a member of or working towards an industry recognised professional institute (e.g. CIOB/CIAT). You will have detailed knowledge of Viewpoint For Projects or other CDE and will have been exposed to BIM L2 projects. You will also have proven experience of managing design teams on a variety of contracts through all design and delivery stages. You will have experience on both single stage tenders and preferred terms work and you will have a sound knowledge of the construction industry, Building Regulations and best practice technical standards.
