About the role

Baker Hicks provides a managed service for a major Defence Contractors Configuration Management function. Based on the client’s sites, we provide support to Document Management & Administration / CAD / BIM / Surveying / Tooling with a team of approximately 70 people. As part of the growth of the service, we have identified the need for a Baseline Data Analyst.  The role will provide support in identifying operational datasets and highlighting/actioning discrepancies for improvement and refinement of the data.

Responsibilities and accountabilities

  • Collation of data in accordance with stakeholder scope
  • Management of dataset to provide dashboard analytics
  • Identify, review & map operational documents, and their relationships
  • Highlight gaps, discrepancies and inaccuracies within data presented
  • Targets gaps in dataset for resolution
  • Reformatting of data to enable risks to be identified
  • Working in conjunction with the stakeholders and team leader to prioritise workload
  • Support to the immediate team to ensure deliverables can be achieved
  • Ensure consistency in quality of information produced within the team
  • Collation of data to provide a dashboard view of progress
  • Input to reporting process for group& capture of statistics
  • working with the team to continually improve the service, its delivery by means of best practice, new techniques and initiatives to drive improvement and efficiency

Skills and experience

  • Good standard of education at GCSE level or above (or equivalent) with grade C or above (or equivalent) in Maths and English
  • Good Knowledge of IT including all MS Packages
  • Good presentation skills and ability to manipulate data sets
  • Ability to engage with key stakeholders and collate relevant information
  • Ability to interrogate data and present results to match client requirements
