The South Wales and South West region are looking for a Trainee Buyer/Buying assistant/administrator to join our Procurement teams to assist in carrying out the day-to-day duties of the department.

The successful candidate will be joining an existing team of passionate and dedicated Buyers working together in this exciting and growing business unit which is experiencing significant growth through long term secured work, offering opportunities for continued development and progression for the right candidate.

ROLE DESCRIPTION

The successful candidate will report directly to the RPM. They will be expected to assist in carrying out a range of Procurement duties, including day to day purchasing and associated administration duties.

The position will involve working within a busy Procurement department supporting our teams on new build residential development schemes.

The candidate will ideally have some work experience, but a construction background is not essential. A passion and willingness to learn, think and work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines is essential.

Previous experience with COINS software would be advantageous.

Opportunity to undertake a relevant/suitable qualification - part time (day release) course to work towards a degree/ professional qualification e.g., construction/ commercial - QS/ CIPS.  

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Ideally you will have some work experience and be educated with a min 4 GCSE grade A-C.

Excellent communication skills are critical to this role and the candidate must be able to adapt within a vibrant team that exists. The role will involve liaison with internal customers, clients, and the supply chain. The successful candidate will have;
