About the role:

Baker Hicks provides a managed service for a major Defence Contractors Configuration Management function. Based on the clients sites, we provide support to Document Management & Administration / CAD / BIM / Surveying / Tooling with a team of approximately 70 people. As part of the growth of the service, we have identified the need for an Asset Data Coordinator.  The role will provide support in the field collection and validation of asset information in conjunction with the wider Asset Data Collection team.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Ability to read and understand technical information, and identify any conflicts that exist within the available data sets
  • Plan scoping activities with input from the Client’s Asset Optimisation team to understand the available data sets and intended data capture activities
  • Coordinate the plan of works for the Asset Data Collection team in conjunction with the Asset Optimisation team’s scope of works
  • Agree data sets for Asset information collection utilising Asset Grouping in alignment with the company policy for Asset types (Assets / Asset Components / Parts)
  • Validate incoming information following data collection by the Asset Information Collection team, in alignment with Data requirements contained in AM-P-2020 (/AIS Data Standard – under development)
  • Capture data utilising the company upload templates for the Asset Management System, applying the following:  Service codes, Class codes, Location codes & category codes, based on AM-P-2020 Data Capture requirements & supporting processes AM-P-E-2040, AM-P-E-2050 & AM-P-5220 (BIM SMP)
  • Apply Asset care policies to new asses inline with Asset Importance scoring.
  • Support the asset optimisation team in Facilitating workshops to undertake Asset importance scoring, working in conjunction with the relevant SMEs
  • Assign Importance codes, based on the company guidance contained within AM-P-2040, working in conjunction with the facility stakeholders to identify risks associated in the failure of an asset
  • Provide data sets ready for validation by the Asset Optimisation team & Facility Engineer

Skills and Experience

Essential:

  • HNC/D in a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering discipline or equivalent
  • A broad understanding of buildings & Mechanical & electrical services
  • Ability to analyse data sets

Desirable:

  • Previous experience of working with Asset Care / Maintenance regimes SFG20 / FMEA
  • Able to demonstrate an aptitude of effective communication with our clients that supports this key business objective
