The Role:

As a Plant Co-ordinator Pre-Ops you will be imbedded within a project delivery team and responsible for the creation of a comprehensive list of operational spares for multiple project phases. To be able to meet and manage the projects operational spares requirements you will be required to collaborate with a multi-discipled project team and multiple forms of external stakeholders. You will undertake in the creation of a spares database and register which will be used during works testing, on site commissioning and then carried forward into a facilities operation life.

Responsibilities:

  • As a Spares Team Member, you will:
  • Provide technical spares expertise and input into project gated process from stage 3 to stage 6.
  • Support effective project delivery of required spares related processes to enable the project to be successfully handed to Operational Units upon completion of functional demonstration
  • Participate in the review of design, planning, procurement and delivery documentation from suppliers and contractors.
  • Ability to hold suitable appointments or training to ensure that the project delivery targets can be achieved (SAP Demander & Local Material Master Controller etc)
  • Act as Technical Author to write specifications /MM’s for all spares at QG03, QG02, QG02P (Including, identifying correct supplier/ procurement route, obtaining quotes, reviewing quotes and associated drawings & data sheets, write the Mater Master and workflow in SAP).
  • Report project delivery progress to the Pre-Operations Manager and where required Maintenance and Engineering Leads
  • Interface with internal/external stakeholders through Engineering, Commissioning, Maintenance and Vendors with regards to the assessment of quality grades, creation of Material Masters and spares schedules.

Essentials:

  • Be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and have experience of producing reports.
  • Experience in managing engineering databases.

Desirables:

  • SAP training
  • Experience in reading Engineering Drawings
  • Basic understanding of Throughput, Reliability, Availability, Maintainability (TRAM)
  • Ability to develop in your use of additional software packages as appropriate
  • Have nuclear sector experience, including working within large scale projects.

  • Challenging attitude – willingness to intervene if observing unsafe acts or non-compliance – prepared to have the difficult conversation.
  • Able to work collaboratively with all levels of organisation to achieve successful project output/outcomes.
  • Ability to work autonomously with light touch supervision – including remotely from team (works testing etc).
