Description

This contract position is an exciting opportunity to join a team working on a major capital investment project, with longer term prospects of supporting multiple projects across the UK!

This role will lead the piping and layout resource across several projects, as well as contributing to the development of piping and 3D modelling systems and procedures. You will be leading a piping team within a wider multidisciplinary team with engineers and designers, in the production of design deliverables for projects within the chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and food sectors.


Key deliverables 

  • Managing and supervising other piping designers
  • Checking work, reviewing and approving deliverables
  • Reporting on progress and forecasts for time and cost
  • Developing piping & layout systems and standards
  • Developing cats & specs database where necessary
  • Running 3D model reviews
  • Performing design work to support the team as necessary

 

Requirements

  • Knowledge of Autocad Plant3D and E3D and E3D administrative experience
  • Experience in the production of process piping 3D models, 2D equipment layouts, P&ID’s, and piping isometrics
  • Experience in chemicals, food, or pharmaceuticals sector
  • Experience of leading teams
