Description

As an Assistant Engineer you will:

  • Provide assistance to the Engineer / Project Engineer in the management of engineering activities.
  • Assist in the assessment of engineering specifications and design packages and identify appropriate means of delivery including preparing of method statements and risk assessments
  • Understand UK Regulations and Technical standards for relevant engineering discipline.
  • Assist in the assessment of sub-contractor technical submissions, risk assessments and method statements
  • Plan, coordinate and execute engineering activities, under the direction of the Engineer / Project Engineer.
  • Requisition components and supplies for engineering activities, interacting with vendors to obtain price and product information.
  • Assist and support the Engineer / Project Engineer in all aspects of safe planning and execution of engineering activities.
  • Assist and support direct labour resources and sub-contractors in the safe implementation of engineering activities.
  • Provide and coordinate practical technical advice through implementation of engineering works.
  • Troubleshoot faults, recommend solutions and implement corrective action / repairs.
  • Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and customer specifications.

Carry out putting-to-work and support commissioning of engineering plant and equipment.
