Opportunity:                    

Morgan Sindall Infrastructure has been awarded a place on National Highways Scheme Delivery Framework which is a new approach to procuring design and construction services to support network maintenance and improvement. The six-year programme, which is worth £3.6bn, will see delivery partners working across multiple Lots to carry out vital renewals on England’s motorways and A-roads throughout East and West Midlands.

Ideally this role would suit an ambitious, driven individual who embraces the challenge of working within a high performing and supportive team.  

You will maintain commercial information to the contract, satisfying the needs of both the customer and Morgan Sindall in terms of reporting contract commercial performance.

The role will be initially assigned to our project at Strensham, and will be allocated to other SDF project across the Midlands as the framework progresses.

Experience within the civil engineering industry is essential for this role; highways experience is desirable but not a deal breaker.

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Understanding of NEC forms of contract, preferably Option E and C.
  • Understanding of and contribution to the timely completion of internal monthly CVRs.
  • Understanding of and contribution to the timely submission of applications for payment to the client.
  • Capable of building professional relationships, and an ability to problem solve to mitigate potential commercial issues.
  • Awareness of process to procure sub-contractors.
  • Able to commercially manage and effectively monitor sub-contractors, including change management, valuations, payment certificates, risk reduction, cost forecasting and final accounts.
  • Understanding of cost allocation management, preferably with COINS experience.
  • HND or Degree in Quantity Surveying (or other commercially related discipline)
  • Working towards RICS/CIOB/ICE accreditation
  • Appropriate CSCS card
