Job Overview: As an Administrator at Morgan Sindall, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our office's daily operations. You'll be responsible for providing administrative support and ensuring that the office functions seamlessly, allowing our staff to focus on their core responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in booking flights, train tickets, hotel rooms, and any other necessary travel arrangements.
  • Interact with colleagues, customers, and visitors in a courteous and helpful manner.
  • Handle incoming telephone calls, inquiries, and requests, directing them to the appropriate team member.
  • Prepare responses to routine correspondence and inquiries.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date filing systems for company documents, records, and reports.
  • Create and edit various documents, including invoices, reports, memos, letters, and financial statements using standard office software.
  • Assist in research, data compilation, and the preparation of materials for management consideration.
  • Coordinate and set up meetings and conferences, including transcribing and distributing meeting minutes.
  • Manage inventory of office equipment and supplies.
  • Support staff in project-based tasks as needed.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality with company and customer information.
  • Foster positive internal relationships with other departments, offices, and business units/regions.
  • Be proactive in offering suggestions for process improvement and service enhancement.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • A good standard of education (e.g., GCSE or equivalent).
  • Previous experience in an administrative role.
  • Experience providing advice and guidance within a support function.
  • Ability to understand organizational procedures and policies.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team or independently.
  • Excellent written, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in following oral and written instructions.
  • Willingness to seek help and guidance when necessary.
