Job Title: Sub Agent - Construction Projects

Location: Sellafield Nuclear Licensed Site

About Us: Join our dynamic team as a Sub Agent, reporting to the Site Agent, and contribute to minor projects within the ISA’s Logistics and Utilities portfolio. We are seeking a candidate with an engineering background and a deep appreciation for various disciplines. This role offers an opportunity to work within the existing Sellafield nuclear licensed site, delivering projects in a highly regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure accurate implementation of engineering controls and compliance with drawings and specifications.
  • Program site works with the foreman to coordinate with the overall delivery program, highlighting any issues to the Site Agent.
  • Lead the engineering team, setting working parameters and assessing their performance.
  • Promote best practices among engineers and encourage their career progression.
  • Plan and source the required plant, materials, and labor in time for project delivery.
  • Collaborate with the design team to coordinate onsite activities effectively.
  • Develop mobilization plans, project management plans, construction programs, and deliverable schedules.
  • Assist the Site Agent and procurement team in identifying sub-contract packages and selecting suitable supplier partners.
  • Oversee all aspects of temporary works in adherence to company processes and procedures.
  • Manage the site engineering team and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.

Succession Planning/Mobility:

  • Monitor and control site activities and subcontractors to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
  • Promote a collaborative, one-team approach with supply chain and design partners.
  • Support the Site Agent and Project Manager in meeting delivery requirements.

Requirements:

  • Engineering background with an appreciation of various disciplines.
  • Degree or advanced vocational qualification with appropriate practical experience.
  • Experience working in a highly regulated environment, preferably within the nuclear industry.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Proven track record of successful project coordination and delivery.
