Opportunity:
We have a fantastic opportunity within our Energy and Water business for an ambitious and talented Senior Environmental Advisor.
The successful candidate will be joining the existing team of passionate and dedicated individuals working on the National Grid ZA OHL project.
We are looking for Senior Environmental Advisors who have a wealth of knowledge in managing environmental risk throughout lifecycle of projects to provide technical support to project teams.
Experience or knowledge of energy (Inc. gas) transmission, renewable/green energy infrastructure, flood defence, water and waste water works, ports and general complex civils including tunnelling from £10M upwards to major project values would be an advantage.
Responsibilities:
As Senior Environmental Advisor you will be required to -
Provide subject matter expertise in identify environmental risk and mitigation, promoting best practice solutions.
Technical support in measuring project carbon and identification of carbon reduction opportunities and best practice.
Work well within a high performing team and be able to communicate at all levels of the business.
Manage the process of obtaining any necessary environmental consents, licences or exemptions.
Work well under pressure and manage both internal and client deadlines.
A thorough knowledge of compliance with environmental legislation and of ISO14001 Environmental Management Systems and its implementation.
Already experienced as a Senior Environmental Advisor you will be educated to degree level or equivalent in the relevant field. You will have experience of provide technical support and advice to project teams, undertake environmental monitoring, audit, deliver training and mentoring. Supporting continuous improvement to environmental performance.
