Role: Enterprise Commercial Director

Are you an experienced and highly motivated leader with a track record in successfully managing commercial aspects of large-scale infrastructure & energy projects? Do you have a keen eye for detail, a strategic mindset, and the ability to inspire and motivate multidisciplinary teams? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!

Job Purpose: As the Enterprise Commercial Director, you will play a pivotal role in the management of all commercial aspects of a major energy project. Working closely with the relevant sector operational lead, you will be responsible for delivering on agreed business targets, overseeing multiple high-value or long-term projects, and providing commercial governance and challenge throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Sector Commercial Director to achieve targeted financial performance and manage strategic business risks and opportunities.
  • Provide expert advice at a strategic level to clients and the Board of Directors.
  • Articulate and communicate your vision and strategy to divisional teams regularly.
  • Develop tools and techniques to monitor and analyse project and framework objectives.
  • Lead multi-disciplinary teams in overcoming emerging project issues and identifying improvement options.
  • Create an empowering environment that fosters collaboration and alignment of project drivers and priorities.
  • Cultivate a learning and improvement culture within the commercial business unit, promoting team training and mentoring initiatives.
  • Build strong strategic relationships with influencers and key stakeholders to create sector alliances and opportunities.
  • Identify and exploit specific business growth opportunities.
  • Utilize negotiation and diplomacy skills to maintain long-term client relationships.

  • MRICS professional membership or equivalent.

  • Proven success in achieving targeted financial performance and managing strategic business risks and opportunities.
  • Strong understanding of project procurement and commercial strategies.
  • Excellent leadership and team motivation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strategic relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Track record in identifying and exploiting business growth opportunities.
