Our structured Apprenticeship programme covers a variety of personal development and technical training to support your well-rounded development. Our programme blends practical exposure to enhance your discipline specific abilities whilst enhancing your individual personal development during your early career. 

You’ll also be offered a professional scheme mentor, to help and support you.

About the team

Over the last 12 months, our Nuclear Business Unit have developed clear, achievable growth plans for the sector. These plans are aligned to the launch of the UK Governments “Great British Nuclear” body, who's aim is to accelerate the growth of new nuclear in the UK as a secure source of clean, affordable energy.

 

Bid and Proposal Co-ordination Level 3 Apprenticeship 

Functional Skills in Maths if required

On successful completion individuals will be eligible for membership of the Association of Bid and Proposal Management Professionals ( APMP)

The Business Development Apprentice is an important part of our dynamic Nuclear Work Winning team, based in Cumbria but with a national presence. The team comprises of 8 people, in roles such as proposals, estimating, planning and bid management. We work together to drive the business units growth strategy by developing best in class tender submissions for major infrastructure Clients such as Sellafield Limited, Nuclear Waste Services and the UK Atomic Energy Authority.

What will you
be doing?

  • Ensuring the timely production of submissions and bid presentations 
  • Create business winning documentations
  • Support the ongoing development of a knowledge library to support Business Development and work winning activities 
  • Maintain up to date customer relationship management information. 
  • Completion of prequalification and tender documentation 
  • Gather technical data from departments and operational teams
  • Provide feedback on areas for adjustment
  • Proof reading and correcting material 
  • Review successful and unsuccessful submissions, gather feedback and learn 
  • Review of relevant online tender information systems

 

 

What qualifications
do I require?

 

 

  • GCSE or equivalent English (Grade 4) essential
  • GCSE or equivalent Maths (Grade 4) desirable
