This role will manage the procurement of Services and Equipment on BakerHicks projects which involves supply chain development, procurement strategy, tendering and evaluation, negotiation, contract management and expediting.
This is a great opportunity to join as a key member of the project delivery team, for a range of challenging projects of significant scale and complexity, where you will have the guidance and training to step into a senior position over time, and take the lead in procurement for some of BakerHicks' key projects.
Key Objectives
- To administer the process of procuring services and equipment for the Companies projects
- To work closely with project teams and customers delivering a service to fully meet their requirements.
- To support the procurement and supply chain team with the prequalification of existing and new supply chain partners
- To support the procurement and supply chain team with the assessment of all quotes/commercial terms as well as leading all technical and commercial analysis
- To present and gain approval of the Tender Recommendations from the Customers in accordance with the Procurement Strategy and Schedule
- To expedite and support with engineering and construction teams to deliver procured items in accordance with the Project Schedule
About You
- Experience within a procurement role within construction or engineering
- High level of proficiency in the use of general Microsoft Office software i.e. Word, Excel, etc.
- Experience of EU and UK supply chains
- Full UK driving license
- Experience of working with construction contractors
- Experience delivering complex procurement packages
