Description

A Sub Project Manager is required to support the Project Manager to facilitate multidiscipline project delivery within the agreed cost and schedule baseline on the SRP SPRS Modifications Project within Programme and Project Partners (PPP).

 

Key Responsibilites

 

  • Delivering fit for purpose work in a safe manner to meet or better the project baseline cost, schedule and quality requirements.
  • The effective use of the Project Delivery Fundamentals and required company practices.
  • Developing and executing effective execution strategies and plans in line with the overall project strategies and plans.
  • Ensuring the relevant project risks are identified and managed/mitigated as appropriate.
  • Managing the quality, schedule and cost for the sub project scope to the agreed baseline.
  • Production and or delivery of key project deliverables such as PMP’s, project scope documents, schedule and cost estimates, Work Specification Forms and Work Scope documents, Safety Method Statements and Work Safety Plans, Tender Packages and support to the contract management process.
  • Ensuring the task meets the specified project functional criteria.
  • Early identification of risks/ issues/ concerns that either have the potential or will impact the task baseline.
  • Liaison with project stakeholders including design, construction, commissioning, safety, HP&S, S&RM, IWM and any other plant teams during all project phases as requested by the PM or Sub PM.
  • Facilitating in the maintenance of effective integrated project execution plans.
  • Active participation in Safety Improvement Programmes.
  • Identifying, implementing and complying with applicable safety, environmental, and quality, company procedures, policy, legislative and regulatory requirements.
  • Applying an appropriate level of priority for safety and quality to ensure that Nuclear Safety is not compromised by delivery.
  • Maintaining effective communications and executing the project strategies within their team.
  • Leading and coaching their team to maximise their efficiency and effectiveness to deliver fit for purpose work safely to meet or better the project baseline cost, schedule and quality requirements.
  • Maximizing their teams Learning from Experience, disseminating and input of LFE across all project stages.
  • Maintaining the competency of their relevant team members by identifying and facilitating delivery of appropriate training and role assignment.
  • To work in compliance with the Collaborative Management Plan.

The Person

 

  • SC essential, preferably DV security cleared, or ability to achieve DV.
  • Knowledge of SLMS and PPP procedures.
  • Experience of delivering construction Projects on Sellafiled site or other complex, highly regulated sites.
  • Demonstration of Human Performance training.
  • Ability to work in a multidiscipline team environment.
  • Good management and collaboration skills, with the ability to motivate self and colleagues to achieve high standards of compliance.
  • Good operational planning and time management skills; able to manage projects simultaneously without compromising on standards and quality.
  • APMQ or ability to achieve it.
  • Ensure that you take personal responsibility and accountability for your actions.
  • Always promote a professional and courteous image.
