Are you passionate about managing vehicles and driving efficiency? Join our dynamic team as a Fleet Manager and oversee our company’s diverse fleet of vehicles and plant.

What You'll Do:

  • Administer Road Transport Operator Licences.
  • Oversee LCV, HGV, and car fleets.
  • Develop and implement fleet policies.
  • Drive our strategy towards carbon neutrality.
  • Manage Work Related Road Risk (WRRR) policies.
  • Conduct internal and supply chain audits.
  • Authorize and feedback on pool car damage estimates.
  • Develop relationships with commercial vehicle suppliers and business contacts.
  • Manage Motor Insurance Database (MID) submissions.
  • Update fleet-related documents and create toolbox talks.
  • Conduct driver training and inductions.
  • Oversee driving licence checks.
  • Line manage the Transport Coordinator.

What You Need:

  • Required: Transport Manager Certificate of Professional Competence in Road Haulage.
  • Desirable: Motor Vehicle technical qualification, knowledge of Operator Licence VOLS system, C/CE category driving licence, membership in fleet industry associations, and experience with construction vehicles and plant.

Skills and Attributes:

  • Proficient in data management (MS Excel, Telematics, Tachograph systems).
  • Initiative and ability to manage workload and priorities independently.
  • Cost reduction expertise.
  • Ability to deliver reports and analyses on tight deadlines.
  • Confident communicator with all business levels.
