What You'll Do:
- Administer Road Transport Operator Licences.
- Oversee LCV, HGV, and car fleets.
- Develop and implement fleet policies.
- Drive our strategy towards carbon neutrality.
- Manage Work Related Road Risk (WRRR) policies.
- Conduct internal and supply chain audits.
- Authorize and feedback on pool car damage estimates.
- Develop relationships with commercial vehicle suppliers and business contacts.
- Manage Motor Insurance Database (MID) submissions.
- Update fleet-related documents and create toolbox talks.
- Conduct driver training and inductions.
- Oversee driving licence checks.
- Line manage the Transport Coordinator.
What You Need:
- Required: Transport Manager Certificate of Professional Competence in Road Haulage.
- Desirable: Motor Vehicle technical qualification, knowledge of Operator Licence VOLS system, C/CE category driving licence, membership in fleet industry associations, and experience with construction vehicles and plant.
Skills and Attributes:
- Proficient in data management (MS Excel, Telematics, Tachograph systems).
- Initiative and ability to manage workload and priorities independently.
- Cost reduction expertise.
- Ability to deliver reports and analyses on tight deadlines.
- Confident communicator with all business levels.
