Location: Whitehaven

Role Description:

Morgan Sindall Infrastructure's Nuclear Business Unit is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Start Up Support professional to join our Start Up, Commissioning, and Pre-Operations delivery team in Whitehaven. In this role, you will support the team throughout the project lifecycle, carrying out a range of tasks using the required systems and processes to ensure the successful delivery of Start Up, Commissioning, and Pre-Operations activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement and manage document control for Start Up, Commissioning, and Pre-Operations work scope in compliance with quality and legal requirements.
  • Update and maintain Commissioning tracking systems, ensuring comprehensive and auditable records, including TCA/FOB tracking, monitoring, reporting, and driving closure.
  • Conduct audits to ensure compliance of all systems within the Start-Up Team, such as drawing configuration, FOBs, TCAs, CTD, etc.
  • Monitor, update, and maintain the training/SQEP status of the Start-Up team (including contractors), and prompt necessary training requirements.
  • Provide support for resource management.
  • Share Lessons Learned (LFE) and facilitate cross-project communications.
  • Input progress into the Plant Test Schedule to enable accurate performance monitoring.
  • Report on Start-Up, Commissioning, and Pre-Operations Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Monitor and track escalations and actions.
  • Provide administrative support for the completions and commissioning management system.
  • Prepare weekly/monthly project reports for commissioning activities.
  • Manage meetings on behalf of the Start Up, Commissioning, and Pre-Operations Team.
  • Support Start Up Commissioning and Pre-Operations Governance meetings.
  • Coordinate and manage travel arrangements for offsite working.

Essentials:

  • Level 3 Qualification in a relevant subject or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in MS applications (Word, Excel) with evidence of document management and reporting.
  • Experience providing project support within an engineering or technical environment.
  • Familiarity with quality assurance requirements.

Desirables:

  • Experience in the nuclear sector, particularly within large-scale projects.
  • Working knowledge of effective health and safety arrangements.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to other work locations, such as Risley and works test facilities.
