Opportunity:

We have a fantastic opportunity within our Energy Water business for an ambitious Wayleaves Warden

The successful candidate will be joining an existing team of passionate and dedicated supervisors

Responsibilities

As a Wayleaves Warden, you will:

  • Liaise with the Customer’s Wayleave Officer and grantors to maintain good relations, informing them of any changes to programme that will affect them and responding to any queries they may have
  • Be responsible for the supervision of subcontractors which includes ensuring that they work in a safe, competent and timely manner using the appropriate type and quantities of plant and equipment
  • Communicate on a daily basis with the Customer and project team
  • Work proactively with managers to establish and maintain safe systems of work and a safe environment for colleagues and customers
  • Review the project health and safety plan and all site specific risk assessments to ensure all existing risks at each work site are understood and controlled
  • Liaise with the Customer’s Wayleave Officer, visiting every site accompanied by the Engineer and General Foreman to confirm land take areas, access to work positions and towers and produce an access development schedule.

 

Requirements

You will either be an experienced Wayleaves Warden or have the transferable skills meeting the following requirements:

  • HNC/HND or equivalent (desirable)
  • Relevant construction certification for safety
  • Substantial experience either in a contracting organisation at a professionally qualified level as (for example) building surveyor, or land surveyor
  • Knowledge of health and safety legislation as it affects the construction industry
