Security Coordinator 

Location: Whitehaven 

Job Description: 

We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Security Coordinator to join our team and support our Nuclear business. In this role, you will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and managing key security-related information to ensure compliance with project security arrangements. Your primary responsibilities will include generating and maintaining security clearance records for all project partners, as well as supply chain partner security teams. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in supporting and approving enrolment onto the project Viewpoint platform for efficient information sharing among involved parties. Collaboration with project partners and utilising the Viewpoint platform for key security assurance activities will also be part of your responsibilities. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Generate, hold, and maintain accurate security clearance currency records for project partners and supply chain partner security teams. 
  • Support and approve enrolment onto the project Viewpoint platform for efficient information sharing between parties. 
  • Collaborate with project partners to carry out key security assurance activities. 
  • Utilise the Viewpoint platform to ensure compliance with security arrangements. 
  • Stay updated with relevant security protocols, policies, and procedures. 
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to address security concerns and maintain effective communication channels. 
  • Prepare reports and documentation related to security activities as required. 

The ideal candidate will have:  

  • Previous experience in a similar security coordination or administration role is preferred. 
  • Familiarity with project security arrangements and protocols is advantageous. 
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage and maintain accurate records. 
  • Attention to detail and the ability to spot inconsistencies or potential security risks. 
  • Proficient in using information management systems and platforms, such as the project Viewpoint platform. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with project partners and supply chain partners. 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve project goals. 
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure. 
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities. 
  • A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ensuring data security.
