BakerHicks have grown rapidly in the Transmission & Distribution sector over the last 8 years and have been successful in winning a number of major projects within the UK. As a partner to National Grid on the Design and Project Services framework, Baker Hicks require a Competent Person, as Geotechnical investigations works at Trawsfynydd and Pentir substations are being carried out.
As Competent Person, you will hold the National Grid Safety Document for the GI contractors working party. You will ensure all the requirements of National Grid’s Safety Rules and SR163 are met, and site works are delivered 100% Safe.
Key Objective
- Maintain Training competencies in date for the duration of appointment.
- Carry out the requirements for Competent Person as set out in National Grid’s Safety Rules and relevant NSIs.
- Be responsible for general safety of the working party under their control, as required by National Grid Safety Rules & NSI.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- The successful candidate will already hold Competent Person NSI6&8 accreditation.
- HSG47 (substation) training would also be beneficial.
