Role: Charge Hand

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Chargehand supervisor to lead a team of four line workers in delivering all aspects of 400kv overhead line works

 

Responsibilities

  • To construct/maintain/replace 400kv overhead electrical networks
  • To carryout, continuously review and brief your team on hazards and risks associated with each project.
  • To complete required documentation.
  • To lead by example and motivate your team to safely undertake work.
  • To ensure that all work is carried out safely, efficiently and in accordance with Company procedures
  • Install and construct overhead electricity networks to relevant construction standards and exacting quality standards.
  • To interact with members of the public in a polite and courteous manner.

About you

You will have previous experience as a Charge hand or Supervisor and meet the following criteria:

  • Experience assembling and erecting OHL towers
  • Experience in reconductoring twin to twin and quad to triple transmission lines
  • Minimum 5 years experience on transmission projects
  • Current NG authorisations including NSI 4 competent persons
  • Full UK driving licence
