Description

Who we are at Morgan Sindall Infrastructure:

We deliver some of the UK’s most complex and critical infrastructure across six core sectors of energy, water, nuclear, highways, rail and aviation for public and private customers. Working on projects and long-term frameworks, we believe in connecting people, places and communities through innovative and responsible infrastructure.

Our people are our business. Through their expertise, we harness innovative ideas and approaches that enable us to safely and responsibly design and deliver resilient infrastructure upon which we all rely. Morgan Sindall Infrastructure is part of Morgan Sindall Group plc, a leading UK construction and regeneration group with revenue of over £3 billion.

Our structured Graduate Programme provides you with opportunities for both personal development and technical training to support your well-rounded development. As part of the team from day one, you’ll gain the practical experience and responsibility needed to become a first-class engineer, whilst enhancing your individual personal development during your early career.

Our Graduate Programme:

In short, our Graduate Programme offers;

·       Comprehensive Development

·       Practical Exposure

·       Individual Focus

·       Professional Recognition

·       A Supportive Community

You’ll also be offered a professional scheme mentor, to help you expand graduate membership of your specific chartered body.

We have a talented community of early in career individuals currently in the business who offer an abundance of networking opportunities, and plenty of experienced colleagues who will support you every step of the way.

You’ll join either our Energy or Water & Highways business unit where we’re helping our customers make the most of their existing assets as well as building new assets to continually improve the UK’s energy, water and highways infrastructure. We do this by putting our customers first and challenging the status quo.

About the project:

We are making a difference and impacting positively on the future of the UK, for example, in energy we are helping deliver greener energy transmission, building new systems and enhancing existing assets.  In water, we’re creating resilient, high-quality water and wastewater facilities that safeguard supply, helping to remove properties from the flood risk register, and contributing to a cleaner environment by reducing the frequency and impact of flood events.

Your journey begins on the front line, where theory meets practice. You will be strategically placed at one of our project sites working alongside qualified professionals in your field. Here you won’t just observe your role; you will dive in, deploying your professional skills and unwavering diligence.

What qualifications do I require?

A Civil Engineering degree accredited by a chartered body (e.g., ICE, CIOB, RICS) at a 2:1 or above.

Ability to travel or drive to remote site locations if needed.

Ideally some exposure to a construction/engineering environment.

You will need the ability to:

·     Be geographically mobile – As our projects are UK wide and can be in rural and remote locations you will need to be able to commit to travelling independently to sites and able to stay away from home for short and long periods.

·     Have a willingness to learn with a strong interest in professional growth and personal development.

·     Be goal oriented with excellent time management skills and the ability to work towards tight deadlines.

·     Demonstrate well developed communication skills, explaining your ideas clearly to different audiences, actively listening and ensuring other points of view are heard.

·     Enjoy creative problem solving, seeking opportunities in difficult circumstances and adapting to change.

·     Love working as part of a diverse and multi-disciplinary team, operating inclusively and valuing the contribution of others.
