We have a fantastic opportunity to train as a construction site supervisor, gaining a nationally recognised qualification in our Energy business unit.   We’re making a difference by helping the UK to achieve net zero carbon emissions and ensuring energy security in the face of an uncertain world. We do this by helping our customers make the most of their existing assets as well as building significant new assets to continually improve the UK’s energy infrastructure. We put our customers first and challenging the status quo by finding the most efficient solutions to the challenges faced. 

You will be given exposure to the below and much more 

  • Setting out of civil engineering and building works 
  • Health & Safety 
  • Minimising the environmental impact of construction projects 
  • Recording, control and reporting of progress on a construction project 
  • Understanding how to manage and motivate a team

Alongside the day-to-day role, you’ll attend college on block release in the Midlands every 6-8 weeks to develop your technical knowledge and skills and learn from others in the industry.

  • To be geographically mobile – as our projects are UK wide and can be in rural and remote locations you will need to be able to commit to visiting sites across England, Scotland and Wales, staying away from home on a regular basis

  • Enthusiasm and a positive attitude towards the job 
  • To be able to work well with others

Essential Criteria

  • Maths and English at Grade 4 (or C) or above
  • Driving licence
  • IT – introductory level 
  • The ability to travel to site locations. 

Desirable Criteria

  • Some experience within the construction industry
  • Relevant technical qualifications at Level 3 (e.g. engineering, construction)

The Finer detail

Application closing date – 24th April 2025

Expected start date – 8th September 2025

Assessment Centre – w/c 26th May at Wolverhampton College

Length of apprenticeship – 36 months

Location of apprenticeship – Nationwide – geographical mobility is a must

Working Hours – 45 hours per week

Working week – Monday – Friday

Salary - £12.12 per hour (£28,360 for 45 hours)
